Those were the Days page

Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center

Those Were the Days, featuring William Florian, is an upbeat, energetic, musical journey of Americas greatest songs of the 60’s including songs he performed as a lead singer of the famous New Christy Minstrels plus the music of Peter Paul & Mary, John Denver, Pete Seeger, The Mamas & The Papas, and uplifting originals presented with amusing stories in an intimate show.

“William Florian was a perfect combination of musician and storyteller, blending wonderful music with humor and memoir. Our sold-out audience loved every minute of it, from the opening bars to the encore, and is begging for a return visit.”

“William is an exceptional performer. He is not only a gifted and very professional musician, but a delightful comedian, as well. His stage presence and personality are stellar – he reaches out and grabs the audience from the very get go and keeps them involved and entertained right through his final number. His repertoire is broad and covers the era of 60’s folk music well. But, perhaps most delightful of all, the spirit of that time appears to have stayed with William. He seems to truly believe in the goodness of people, the brotherhood of mankind, and our place as stewards of the earth. I give him my highest recommendation. Thanks William!”

“Dear William, You were phenomenal tonight! The consensus was that this was the best event we have had to date and anyone who couldn’t come missed out on a fun filled, song filled evening. I so appreciated your personal touches in that you spoke with our guests and they could sing along with you. Your songs brought back many memories for all of us. And how refreshing to know the words to your songs..that was a lot of funThe good old sixties and seventies!”

“Hi William, Just wanted Thank You so much for and epic daytrip for all of us! I can’t believe how you rocked the room! The ladies were begging for more, hence you running out of CD’s. Your ESPN song made the few men in the audience feel special. Thanks again and I will pass along your information to other groups.”
