WAGNER NOËL PAC
Live on Stage Permian Basin is proud to present the 2019-2020 season at the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center. Our first year was 2011.
The Wagner Noël PAC is the brightest star in the West Texas sky. With an exterior design that combines local themes of geology and open sky, the Wagner Noël stands nearly ten stories tall and is a visible symbol of culture, education and achievement. It expands our cultural horizons with a wide range of community and regional events – from Broadway tours to performing Symphonies to ballet, opera, and musical concerts. The Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center thrills audiences of all ages.
The largest venue in the facility vastly improves the opportunity for the Permian Basin to enjoy world-class performers and cultural entertainment. The size, location and features of the main Performance Hall greatly expand the number, quality and range of events that will be attracted to the area.
The Grand Lobby, the facility’s initial welcoming space, includes a vast open area rising the full three levels of the building along with a grand staircase and elevators providing access to each floor. Capable of accommodating nonperformance events, the Grand Lobby also includes fixed and movable concession counters, ticket will call window and coat check areas. A permanent donor wall displaying the names of all Founders Campaign donors is a focal point of the facility’s primary public space.
The 1,800-seat hall offers excellent acoustics coupled with high-quality theater systems and design finishes. Two balconies along with floor and parterre orchestra seating provide patrons with extraordinary sight lines, comfort and convenience. The two balcony design also provides the flexibility to limit available seating to better host smaller events while still ensuring an optimal audience experience. To further enhance appropriate events, an orchestra pit floor lift can extend the stage well beyond the proscenium into the audience chamber offering greater intimacy and enjoyment for both audience and performers. State-of-the art sound, lighting and technical features accompany stage, wings and performer support areas suitable for all local performing groups as well as touring Broadway and other commercial entertainment.
